During his regular working trip to the Atyrau region on August 18, the Chairman of the Board of “NWF “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC Akhmetzhan Yessimov got acquainted with the construction progress of the first integrated petrochemical complex for the production of polypropylene. The overall progress of the project as of August 19 is 74%. To date, general construction work is at the completion stage, the share of work on the installation of high-tech equipment and pipelines is increasing. Due to the restrictive measures for COVID19 introduced by the states, “KPI Inc.” LLP involved all the resources to promote the project.
Within the framework of measures to support domestic goods producers, preserve and create jobs in the domestic business between “Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc.” LLP and the Atyrau training and production enterprise “Kazakh Society of the Deaf” signed a Memorandum of Intent to conclude a long-term contract for the supply of pallets. The conclusion of the contract will allow the domestic manufacturer to modernize, expand the production capacity of the enterprise and create more jobs.
“Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc.” LLP was established in 2008 and is a part of the group of companies “NWF “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC. On June 28, 2018, the “Samruk-Kazyna” Fund transferred the company to the trust management of “NC “KazMunayGas” JSC. Completion of the construction of the facility is planned in 2021. The project will allow to produce up to 500 thousand tons of polypropylene per year.
